Kathy Stephens has been an integral part of Obrentz Design Group since 1977, a corporate vice president since 1984, and president since 1991. With over 30 years of experience in the operations, design and directing of commercial interiors work, Kathy brings a considerable depth of knowledge and guidance to each project.

Widely recognized for her expertise in facility planning and design development, Kathy has been a pioneer in the field of healthcare design. Her innovative work and professional achievements have received national acclaim. Her most notable projects to be recently celebrated with state level design awards, include the Hospital at Westlake Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Kathy has built a reputation for design excellence based on a collaborative approach. She understands that great design and budget responsibility are of equal importance in the success of a project. She always strives to balance client goals, budgetary constraints, and the architectural setting with solid design principles and innovation. Over the years, Kathy has carefully selected a talented and highly capable staff, enabling Obrentz Design Group to offer complete services in project design, documentation and administration.

Kathy holds licenses in both the state of Texas and the state of Florida. She is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID.) With her vision and leadership, Obrentz Design Group remains focused on successfully providing clients with solutions for today and tomorrow.
