Scope of Services
Obrentz worked in partnership with architects and the client to update the medical center in Big Spring, Texas and promote its transformation into a 21st Century organization that is Veteran-centric, results-oriented and forward-looking. The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) is a 95-authorized bed (55 acute and 40 extended care) medical center, which serves 58,000 veterans in an area spanning 33 counties in West Texas and New Mexico.

With an emphasis on community partnership and celebrating the achievements of service men and women, the design team developed a classic concept and color scheme for the renovations of the Retail & Dining Area (6640 sq. ft.) Main Entrance (3705 sq. ft.) and the 2nd & 3rd floor patient wings. This included the coordination of new lighting fixtures, interior signage and a Museum to honor the history of the organization.

Obrentz continues to manage the project as it moves into the construction phase, ensuring that the design concept will be executed smoothly.
