Scope of Services

El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission has fulfilled a unique role in Austin as a provider of integrated health care, emergency food, advocacy, leadership, development, and basic education for working-poor Hispanic families.

Together with the design team, Obrentz Design Group helped El Buen relocate to its current 3-building campus. The scope included the construction of an Education Center, a Medical Clinic and a Community Center. The design team was responsible for the interface of mechanical, electrical, lighting design, kitchen design, and landscape design.

Obrentz strived to weave the story of the community and its relationship with the mission into the fabric of the new design including the Latino motifs, graphic historical panels, and the use of vernacular materials.
